Magic

As you progress through the world of Legendary Isles those who wish to develop their magical abilities will have to learn new spells. Spells can be obtained in a number of ways, by learning them from reading books, being taught by NPCs or by questing. Each spell has its own requirements regarding minimum stats, components, wand/medallion, and target. There are several levels of wands and medallions that must also be obtained during your travels. Mage spells require wands and cleric spells require medallions.

When casting cleric or mage spells each spell also has a casting time. The player is frozen while they attempt to cast the spell they have chosen so be careful when casting spells.

Mages

Mage spells require components. To do this a mage must purchase or acquire a component pouch to begin with. Component pouches have a limited number of slots and a limited weight capacity. Once the mage has chosen which spells they want to cast they must open the container by right-clicking and adding the required components into their pouch. Then you must double click the pouch to equip it. Once the pouch is equipped the mage can open their spell book (by pressing V on the keyboard), select the proper spell, and click on the target. Each time the spell is attempted the corresponding components will be removed from the pouch. The wand itself will also be drained by 1 point for every spell cast. Wands may also be used as hand-to-hand combat weapons as well. Once a wand reaches 0 uses no more spells may be cast with the wand.

Clerics

Clerics cast their spells by equipping the appropriate medallion, opening their spell book by pressing V on the keyboard, highlighting a spell and clicking on the target. Each cleric spell will drain a certain number of uses from their medallion. Once a medallion has reached 0 uses it will be destroyed. Medallions cannot be repaired.
