...in Shops
After engaging in combat with monsters you will find that they may drop gold or other items, but this is not the only way to gain items. You may also wish to purchase weapons, armor and other miscellaneous items from shops within the towns.
Figure 12 shows a typical Shop window. The left (shop) panel of the shop window displays the items currently for sale in the shop. The right (backpack) panel shows items available to sell to the shop within the players' backpack. The row of boxes at the bottom of the window shows the transactions currently taking place. This row shows the items that are to be bought or sold. The text can be colored either red (signifying a loss of money) or green (signifying a gain of money). The number below 'Gold On Hand' shows the total amount of gold currently on the player. The number below 'Cost' shows the amount of gold involved in the transaction. The number below 'Final Gold' shows the amount of gold the player will have after the transaction has been completed.
To add an item to the transaction row that you want to buy double-click the item in the shop panel. The item will appear in the transaction row with the amount and cost in red. To add an item to the transaction row you wish to sell double-click the item on the backpack panel. The item will appear in the transaction row with the amount and cost in green. If you click on an item that can be sold or purchased in bulk, an amount window will appear that will require you to enter the amount you with to purchase or sell. Once you have completed populating the transaction row click on the 'check mark' to the right of the transaction row to process the transaction and close the shop window.

Figure 12
To trade with another player both players must be able to see each other in the game window. Stand next to an empty table, double-click the table and you will be requested to select a player to trade with. Click on the player you wish to trade within the game window. A trading scroll will appear on the table you clicked on. The second player must then click on the same trading scroll to initiate the trade and bring up the trading window.
The top group of boxes represents the items you wish to trade, the bottom group is the items the other player wishes to trade with you and the group on the right list the items currently in your backpack. Once both parties are agreed upon what is being traded they must both click on the lock button to lock the trade. This will unlock the trade button on both screens. Once both players click the trade button the trade will be completed.
